Dishwasher died this weekend. Have ordered a new one from a local appliance store we've bought from before, but the installation is a way off.

We did get our money's worth out of the old one. Sears Kenmore, built by Whirlpool, in November 2010, based on the serial number. Guessing from the sound, the water pump is stuck; at least the drain pump still worked.

We got that because the previous one wan't cleaning well, which turned out to be due to removal of phosphates from the detergent, but when it was removed, found a small leak, so it had to go anyway.

Wife still workong so she paid. KitchenAid, very nice unit, but the controls are on the top of the door so you can't see the display while it is running; have to go by one light on the front.
