I'm glad to see the transgender decision resolved once and for all, although it should never have needed to get to the Supreme Court. (If nothing else demonstrates the insanity, this does.)

But I wish we could find a better solution for citizenship than birthright. I don't know if I disagree with the court or if I wish we could codify this better.

I was listening to BBC world news on the car radio yesterday, they were interviewing a British “expert” about what to do if you think you were getting overheated. He recommended turning on fans, using cold water compresses, and other similar things using technology from about 1900. Absolutely no mention of air-conditioning. It’s just bizarre. This is distorted religious salary, nothing more.

in terms of constitutional law, I can’t say that the Supreme Court‘s decision is crazy. There is room for interpretation of the language in the constitution, but it is not cut and dry. Something pointed out on Instapundit, one thing Congress could do would be to make it a felony to visit the United States for purposes of “birth tourism”, or to facilitate such a thing.  🤷🏻‍♂️

IMAO the Court is wrong. The intent of the 14th Amendment is clear, to quarentee the former slaves who were born on US soil, who's ancestors brought here by force. The 14th does not directly address the issue at hand. Either illegals, or those temporarily in the country for various purposes. The operative phrase "being under the jurisdiction". Now I haven't read the decision yet, but some how they applied to  "being in the country". "Being under the jurisdiction" means to me, is a person has come under that jurisdiction by citizenship.
