Fraud to right of them,
Fraud to left of them,
Fraud in front of them
   Millions and Billions;
Stormed at with greed and graft,
Boldly they strode and well,
Into the jaws of Debt,
Into the mouth of Deficit
   Rode the country.

So, earlier today I put two 40-round belts through an M249 SAW.

Damn, that was fun.

Oh, I bet! My daughter has shot a big gun on a destroyer. I'm jealous.

5" guns. Now the old battleships had 16" diameter projectiles that weighed a ton.

I had to go look it up. It was a  .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" heavy machine gun.

Microsoft just forked Windows

I thought they "forked" it a long time ago.

But this is about two versoions, one for i86 architecture (and x64) CPUs and ARM processors.

Those are great - still in use and a 100 year old design. Not the biggest guns on destroyers, but the kind you can actually shoot in person

impressive. I almost got the opportunity to fire one of those back in the LGF days, at the legendary “Reaganite’s retirement party”; but it turned out not to be available. We did do a lot of other fun things though, involving .50 caliber firearms and C4 plastic explosive.

Best party I went to was throwing pure sodium into a giant lake for the explosions. Heh.
