Seattle's Mayor Tovarich Katie Wilson has discovered the executive order!

Seattle mayor issues first two executive orders on homelessness and transit

The second executive order focuses on transit improvements along Denny Way, a major east-west route that carries one of the city’s busiest bus lines. Wilson directed the Seattle Department of Transportation to begin immediate work on implementing at least one dedicated bus lane, potentially one in each direction, along with other transit upgrades.

Denny is THE major arterial in Seattle it is the feeder from I-5 into downtown particularly the North part of downtown where all the Tech Companies have office towers. At the best of time it is slog at rush hour it can be a 30 minute ordeal to go 4 blocks. Removing a lane in each direction for bus only will compound the traffic.

The icing on the Nomenklatura cake?

“I live up on Capitol Hill, fairly near to the Route 8 bus line, so that is my bus,” Wilson said. “It takes me to my daughter’s daycare, so that’s a bus I’m very, very familiar with.”

Machado presents her Nobel award to Trump, prompting incredulity in Norway

Norwegian lawmakers reacted with shock and dismay over Venezuela opposition leader María Corina Machado’s decision to present U.S. President Donald Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal.

“It’s completely unheard of,” Janne Haaland Matlary, a professor of international politics at the University of Oslo and former state secretary in the foreign affairs ministry, told public broadcaster NRK on Friday.

She called Machado’s gesture “disrespectful” and “pathetic,” saying it undermined the value of the prize, which the Norwegian Nobel Committee awards annually.

Raymond Johansen, a Norwegian lawmaker for the center-left Labour Party and former governing mayor of Oslo, said in a Facebook post it was “incredibly embarrassing and damaging to one of the world’s most respected and important prizes,” according to a Google translation.

Oh, dear Raymond untwist your panties, the whirled peas prize has been a joke for a long time.

I was surprised they gave it to someone who deserves it, unlike the one to Obama, or worse, Arafish.

I'd expect them to give one to Hamas for helping so many Jews rest in peace.

And then the mayor will be surprised when businesses leave and reduce the tax base.

Seattle had a mayor we bragged about bicycling everywhere.

Until he got caught taking a chauffeured SUV to a block from and event, pull a bike out of the back and cycling the one block up to the media.

I think a lot of people tend to keep their feelings about politics and current affairs repressed.

But the shooting of Renee Good really seems to have opened up a hole in the dike.

Had Renee survived, she should have been called to the carpet for a thorough chewing-out.
