A Senator From Hamas?

The far-left Abdul El-Sayed has narrowly won the Democratic primary for Michigan’s U.S. Senate seat. The moment has historical significance, in that El-Sayed embodies in a single person the alliance between socialists and Islamic extremists that now dominates the Democratic Party.

I've been saying for a long time, the Leftist and Islamist are fellow travelers.

Tuesday took the family down to see the A National Archives traveling exhibition bringing nine original Founding-era documents to eight U.S. cities in commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

It was awesome to see in person some of the documents and actual signatures of some of the Founders and Framers.

Florida AG, alongside 2 other red states, subpoenas Fauci

In other Fauci news, it appears the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has a copy of Fauci's iPhone. No surprise, the phone was provided by HHS. Any speculation on what's on there? Phone calls from Shi Zhengli?

His kickback accounts from Big Pharma and the ChiComs.

At this point I would not surprised if he seeks asylums in China.

No one with connections to terror groups should be allowed in the Senate.

Today is Hiroshima Day, when the first atomic bomb was dropped on Japan.  That single bomb, closely followed by the single bomb dropped on Nagasaki shortly afterwards, were what persuaded the Japanese government to surrender, making the troop invasion of the Japanese home islands unnecessary and saving thousands of both American and Japanese lives.

As some here know, my father worked on the development and creation of those bombs.  People many years later, when they found this out, used to ask him, "Do you have any regrets about working on the atomic bomb?" Their queries contained the usually, but not always, unspoken implication that having helped to create this weapon which saved so many lives and finally brought the war to an end, and meant to suggest that he might have some guilty feeling in this regard.   To his credit, he would always look them dead in the eye and say, "Yes.  I very much regret we did not get the bomb done in time to drop it on Germany."

Random question: whatever happened to hotel room mini bars? Not that I really* need* one at the moment, but it just occurred to me that we seem to be witnessing their slow vanishing.

I think I’ve mentioned before the Japanese American young lady who I knew in law school, who once commented to me that the atomic bombings of Japan had to be “racist”, because “why didn’t they drop them on Germany?”.

When I replied that the bomb had not been finished yet by the time Germany had surrendered, she simply would not believe me.
