Well, the HP support bot actually was useful. I had forgotten to remove the wifi adapter and reboot; that fixed the wifi disconnections.

BUT it agreed the SSD is starting to fail, but not enough to replace yet. And there is a little over a month of warranty left.

I've noted that HP makes offers for extended warranty as the expiration gets closer. Otherwise $130 for another year

I have to add the HP support bot was better than most human support people, especially first-tier.

It took one problem at a time, have enough info for me to do what it asked, like run device manager (but most likely could have said how to do that if I asked). And told me it would pick up where we left off after rebooting. I did have to go back to the support site and open a new chat, but it then asked if I wanted to continue where I left off.

But I do wish HP's warranty would cover a problem that started before expiration instead of waiting for a hard failure.  I guess they want their extended warranty.

I wish that they'd put a speed camera (currently not allowed) at my driveway. 25 mph limit because of a curve and few go below 35.

Ready to back in, no one behind me and suddenly there is someone who can't figure out I want to back in to the driveway and won't give me room.

Camera's like speed cameras aren't the issue.

It is the massive data collection and how and who is using the data.

But speed cameras can be a problem if they can't easily be fought; sufficiant imagery is needed and an easy way to dispute is required.

Yes, that is the number on my plate, but the state is different and it doesn't look like my car. Without the picture, it is hard to dispute.
