You have long thought I am some sort of Judeophobe.  Revo repeatedly called me a Muslim-lover.

Beginning in the late 50s, by 1970 I was convinced that Zionism was perfectly legal and extremely desirable.  I had a copy of Mark Twain's book about his 1850s visit to the malarial swamps and hard-scrabble villages of the Holy Land.  I knew what Zionism had brought, rampant prosperity for both Jews and Muslims.  I knew Abdullah I of Transjordan/Jordan was in favor of it.  I knew of the rabid old Mufti (who'd looked so much like Alec Guinness.)  I remain an old-school secular Zionist to this day.

Revo nailed me many times on C2.  He even mailed a letter to my post office box, saying it was "about time to play cowboys and Muslims, and if you're not with us you're against us."  (He also had my home phone number.)  You knew about all that, and never suggested to him that he back it down.  Considering his boasts about the Saturday gun range stuff, including a combat shooting award, it was possible that he might have been serious.

That November 5th, you wanted me to stay for the pun threads.  You said nothing about what Revo had just started again.  Your implication was that I had no valid reason for leaving C2.  That I was over-reacting to something which was both logical and harmless.

Then there was that comment you posted a few years later, where you stated that all Muslims should be "flung" to the east bank of the Jordan.  What was your point or objective in saying that should be done?

If you do not wish to be considered a paranoid loon, you can start by keeping a civil tongue in your head, and follow that up by saying what, if anything, will enable you to behave like a reasonably decent human being.  Or, you can go to hell.  Your choice.

1970 was when I learned about Meir Kahane.  One of my history professors, who like myself was a Zionist, handed me a magazine open to an op-ed about Kahane.  Very favorable to him, almost rabidly so.  It opened my eyes (which was the prof's purpose.)

It's interesting that only two are involved.  That fits with what I've seen, frequently glancing in over the past several years.

What's also interesting is the extreme degree of emotional drive.  It's almost beyond "knee-jerk".  One can post data, or a specific question, and the responsive drive comes back rabidly fixated on something else.

I am a bit surprised that my news-article posts yesterday didn't trigger responses.

I have a copy of Harkabi's "The Bar Kokhba Syndrome".  I think I'm going to go back through it again.
