Listening to Trump's news conference. He seems to be drifting from the topic.

Anytime Trump makes a speech, I figure it is pitched to a particular audience, but does not necessarily represent his actual concerns or objectives.  I realize he can be mercurial in his loyalties, but I try and separate his public statements, which are geared towards building support against vocal opposition in a highly-contested election, from his actual actions.

Report on the MOU (link)

I'll stick to one point for now:

1. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and their allies in the current war, by signing this MOU [Memorandum of Understanding], declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other, and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon. The final deal will confirm the permanent termination of the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and other provisions of this paragraph.

I doubt this means Hizballah is supposed to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon, but the US apparently agreed that Israel would - but Israel is NOT a party to the MOU

Sorry, Trump sold out Israel.
