Lynch! The new N-word. Orange man bad, appropriating the word for his own racist means! verb verb: lynch; 3rd person present: lynches; past tense: lynched; past participle: lynched; gerund or present participle: lynching; noun: lynching; plural noun: lynchings (of a mob) kill (someone), especially by hanging, for an alleged offense with or without a legal trial. "her father had been lynched for a crime he didn't commit"
Origin mid 19th century: from Lynch's law, named after Capt. William Lynch, head of a self-constituted judicial tribunal in Virginia c. 1780.

Reply to Unknown user in 1: First, I wonder why JCM comes up as an "unknown user." Weird. Second, the notion that "lynching" is somehow race-specific is absurd. Leo Frank (Georgia) and Wesley Everest (Washington), both white, were lynched. There were many lynchings in the old West---and the famous book by Walter Van Tilburg Clark, "The Ox-Bow Incident," made into a film with Henry Fonda, explores the psychology behind such lynchings, but it deals with a white-on-white incident (though there is a black character in a supporting role).

Meanwhile, New York and NPR---particularly New York's home NPR station, WNYC---are going nuts over "sexual harassment" in schools. Not sexual harassment of students by teachers, heavens no, but harassment of students by other students. Apparently the little beasts don't know how to behave, and so more "sex education" (which has clearly done such a good job to date) is being demanded to teach them not to grab at each others' genitalia. The Left is crazy and sex-mad.

And now beaucoups examples are surfacing of the MSM and the Dems - including Biden - from 20 years ago calling the Clinton impeachment a “lynching”.

Given how in bed with the Chinese the Democrats are, it's only appropriate that we are seeing so many <strike>lichee</strike> lynching nuts.

It's not just the station---though it is the station; the city government is absolutely nuts. Regarding the station, however, the "farm team" for WNYC has been WBAI, the local Pacifica station, for the last 40 years. BAI is apparently going through some kind of upheaval/internal warfare at the moment.

They were sort of endearing-hippie in part, but they used to have a host who was an advocate for NAMBLA, and they've had a lot of antisemitic, black-racist stuff over the years, too. They also have been a longtime forum for some of the nuttier vegan/natural foods/holistic health stuff.
One of WNYC's major radio hosts, Leonard Lopate, came from WBAI; he was fired from WNYC a year or so ago for sexual improprieties, in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein/#MeToo furor. He is, or was, back at WBAI. On the bright side, they used to have some good vintage music/old radio show hosts, too.
